This simple, time-tested tincture recipe extracts the calming and digestive-supporting properties of lemon balm using alcohol as the menstruum. Perfect for occasional stress relief and digestive support.
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh lemon balm leaves (or 1/2 cup dried)

1 ½ cups 80-proof vodka (or another high-proof alcohol)
- 1 clean glass jar with a tight-fitting lid
Directions
- Chop fresh lemon balm leaves (if using) and place them in the jar. If using dried leaves, simply add them in.
- Pour vodka over the herbs, ensuring they are fully submerged.
- Seal the jar and store it in a cool, dark place. Shake gently every few days.
- After 4-6 weeks, strain the tincture through cheesecloth or a fine strainer into a clean bottle.
- Label and store in a cool, dark place.
