Hi Diana, can you tell us a little about yourself and how you got involved with natural products?
I am a mother of a son and 2 daughters and I have 2 grandsons. I worked in corporate America as an accountant for about 15 years. I currently work from home in the health and wellness industry and have for the last 20 years. I love helping people with their health!
I have had a passion for natural ways of living that began with using natural products to clean my home. My youngest daughter was suffering from asthma at the time. I went deeper into natural living after a doctor suggested that I let him remove my oldest daughter's gallbladder because she was having stomach issues. Around 6 months after that happened with my daughter I was misdiagnosed with leukemia. This was over 13 years ago!
My youngest daughter doesn't suffer from asthma anymore, as she did when she was a child. My oldest daughter still has her gallbladder and has no stomach issues. I was only suffering from extreme perimenopause and did not have leukemia!
I simply research natural ways to help our bodies heal. I consult with clients and share with them the importance of eating healthy and using wonderful natural products like WGH's. I have so many testimonies of the benefits of living as natural as possible. My mission is to be here to help people as they begin to wake up to the true realities of our health care system.
What is the natural products environment like in Oklahoma City and Tulsa?
Oklahoma ranks as the second most unhealthiest state in America! We've had several new Natural Grocers and Sprouts store openings in the Oklahoma City and Tulsa Metro areas over the last few years. We have several Akin's locations here as well.
The environment is changing fast as Oklahomans begin to learn more about natural products. It's amazing to see this happen and I am thankful that more people are wanting to make changes in their health. Many people that I meet here are searching for healthier alternatives and are tired of taking prescriptions.
WishGarden has started an Ambassador Program which you are a part of -- and you are the recipient of this month's Ambassador of the Month Award. You have been doing demos at various outlets in the Oklahoma City area. How's the Ambassador and demo work going?
The Ambassador work is going wonderfully! I love to share WGH products with my family, friends, and business associates. I am thankful to see word of mouth in action!
The demos allow me to meet new people and share the products with them for the first time live and on the spot. I am also meeting repeat customers whom I connect with while sampling WGH products. I do share the ambassador program with these people when I know they are as EXCITED as I am. I can tell this within the first few seconds of talking with them that they LOVE WGH and they are all happy to see WGH being demoed!
It looks like you are pretty active on the social media channels. Which do you find most effective for spreading âherbal newsâ?
I would say facebook, instagram, and snapschat are really effective for sharing herbal news.
Natural products seem to be all the rage these days. Do you think we are witnessing a change in consumer attitudes towards the environment and natural products?
Yes, I do feel that we are seeing a change in consumer attitudes towards the environment and natural products. Consumers are becoming sick and tired of taking prescriptions. They are realizing that they aren't helping them heal and can be making them sicker. Many are also experiencing depression, sleeplessness, and exhaustion from our environment and because prescriptions aren't helping anymore, they are more open to natural alternatives.
What is your favorite herb and why?
There are many! But if I have to choose one, it is Passion Flower. It's one of my favorites because it helps me feel good and helps me keep my moods balanced, I absolutely love Emotional Ally, Liquid Bliss, Sleepy Nights and Serious Relaxer. They all have passion flower :)
